We got a great call on Tuesday afternoon last week. We were told that our new build development Empire Works has been shortlisted for ‘Best Large Development’ in the Yorkshire Residential Property Awards.
It was hush-hush for a while, but the cat has been let out of the bag in today’s Yorkshire Post — so we’re delighted to finally share the news with you!
Organised by children’s charity Variety, the awards are now in their third year and recognise some of our region’s best companies in the residential property sector.
We’re really proud to have been whittled down to one of the three finalists and we’ll be at the awards night on 12th October at Bowcliffe Hall.
The category specifically looks for developments that have had a positive impact on their community — something that we hope that Empire Works has had on Slaithwaite and the Colne Valley.
Our MD Stephen said: “We put a lot of thought into our developments, considering what type of homes would suit the local community, and how we can ensure that everything we do enhances what’s already there.
“This really does mean a lot! We’ve had so much positive feedback about this development, so this shortlist just solidifies that for us. We’re happy whether we pick up the award or not!”
The shortlist comes on the back of an award win just last month, as won Eaton Smith’s ‘Business of the Month’ accolade.
Fingers crossed for another win at #YRPA17!
